LG Uplus Corp. revealed this week that it will launch the Metaverse space for one of South Korea's prestigious educational institutions, Yonsei University. The mobile network operator in the country said the virtual campus will make use of its Uverse cyberspace platform.
LG Uplus' Uverse is a university-specialized metaverse platform, and it is set to open Yonsei University's virtual campus in September. This has been set up to enable contactless learning and open the door for large-scale events that can be participated in by students remotely. According to The Korea Economic Daily, LG Uplus generated the Yonsei University metaverse on its Uverse after more than a month of planning. The main aim of this setup is to get past the limits of online learning. Source: Econotimes
