LG Electronics has started commercializing smart factories. Based on the know-how of lighthouse factories, it intends to provide smart factory planning, construction, and operation solutions to the world.
On the 10th, LG Electronics announced that it has started commercialization by establishing a new business manager for the smart factory within the Korea Advanced Institute of Production and Technology. It also plans to introduce smart factory solutions at the logistics exhibition "Modex 2024" in Atlanta, Georgia. LG Electronics' smart factory business includes not only automated production solutions developed by the Korea Advanced Institute of Production and Technology, but also △ artificial intelligence-based production planning and operation △ digital twin solutions △ factory upgrade consulting. An official from LG Electronics said, "We will strengthen the competitiveness of customers by supporting optimal solutions from the perspective of automation, informatization, and intelligence in all stages from factory planning to design, construction, and operation."
