Krafton and Naver Z, the creators of PUBG and ZEPETO respectively, have teamed up to invest $36M in ‘Migaloo’ – a new creator-centric metaverse that utilizes blockchain technology to reward creators for their work. Discover how Migaloo aims to revolutionize the world of metaverse technology.
Krafton, the creators of popular battle royale game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), and Naver Z, the creators of social virtual reality app ZEPETO, have teamed up to create a new metaverse called ‘Migaloo’. The new metaverse, Migaloo, aims to be a creator-centric platform that utilizes blockchain technology to enable creators to realize new value in an NFT-based ecosystem based on their creations. At its core, the platform will use a “Create to Earn” (C2E) model that rewards creators for their work. The platform will have three main areas: a mobile social platform where avatars can interact with various people, a 3D interactive content world built using Unreal Engine 5 (UE5), and a creator platform that provides tools for creators to build items, with a Create to Earn model at its core.
