3i will participate in the Korea-Saudi Investment Attraction Networking Program event held on the 22nd and introduce the digital twin solution. According to 3i on the 16th, this event will be held in the form of 10 domestic ventures and startups selected by Korea Venture Investment conducting IR pitching for VCs in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. 3i announced that it will use participation in this Korea-Saudi investment attraction networking program as an opportunity to prepare in earnest for entry into Saudi Neom City.
The Neom City project, led by Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is a project to create a super-large smart new city with an area of 26,500 ㎢, 44 times the size of Seoul, with a total project cost of $500 billion (about 670 trillion won). The interest of companies around the world is focused on Saudi Arabia's large-scale new city project, and domestic companies are also very enthusiastic about entering the Middle East. Samsung C&T already began construction of tunnels for some sections of the lower transportation network and infrastructure facility 'Spine' of Neom City's residential space 'The Line' last year, and IT companies related to smart city construction are actively working to secure various business opportunities. 3i's digital twin solution 'Beamo' is an enterprise solution that captures space with a 360° camera and digitizes it in 3D, allowing monitoring from small to medium-sized to large industrial sites without having to visit the site in person. Beamo has secured global companies at home and abroad as customers based on its easy operation and fast data post-processing, and is also actively used at the construction sites of major domestic construction companies as it is capable of mapping even in indoor environments without GPS. In addition, it supports more efficient field monitoring by supporting integration of IoT sensors and other software with a 360° 3D view. Ken Kim, CEO of 3i, said, “Our solution can be applied to the entire life cycle from the construction stage of the facility to maintenance, so it can be used in a variety of ways in the Neom City new town project.” He added, “Through participation in the Korea-Saudi Arabia investment attraction networking program, “We will not only promote advanced domestic digital twin technology but also lay the foundation for entering Neom City,” he said.
